Caring for a child with special needs is a journey best taken with good information and steady support. Our special needs library gathers resources for families of children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental needs — and for the siblings, caregivers, and loved ones who support them.

A large part of this collection is a comprehensive Autism Toolkit, with parent-friendly articles on understanding a diagnosis, early intervention services, school-based services and inclusion, behavior challenges, sleep and nutrition, and planning for daily life. You will also find resources on learning disabilities, support for siblings and families, financial assistance, the concept of the medical home, and what a developmental-behavioral pediatrician does.

Every child's needs and strengths are unique. These resources are a starting point, not a substitute for individualized care. Our team is here to help coordinate your child's care and connect your family with specialists, services, and community support — please don't hesitate to reach out.
