Newborns
Gentle, practical guidance for your newest family member — feeding, sleep, growth, and reassurance.
The first weeks with a newborn are full of wonder — and plenty of questions. Our newborn library gathers gentle, practical resources to help you care for your newest family member with confidence, and to know what's typical and what's worth a call to the office.
Topics include safe sleep and reducing the risk of SIDS, tummy time, and feeding your newborn. You will also find guidance on jaundice, colic and soothing a crying baby, diaper rash, circumcision and care of the uncircumcised penis, teething, and what newborn characteristics, reflexes, and rashes are normal. Several articles focus on how to recognize signs of illness in a baby so you know when to reach out.
Trust your instincts as a parent. If your baby seems unwell, is feeding poorly, or something just doesn't feel right, please contact our care team — we would always rather hear from you. Your well-child visits are also a great time to ask any questions on your mind.
