Dr. Wijetilleke

Asoka Wijetilleke, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician with four decades of experience providing primary medical services for children in Vero Beach and the surrounding communities. He has previously earned recognition as a “Best Pediatrician” and is a recognized authority on children’s health care. Dr. Wijetilleke earned his medical degree and completed his internship training at the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka prior to undertaking a second internship at Somerset Medical Center in New Jersey and residency training at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey in Newark.

In his free time Dr. Wijetilleke enjoys playing tennis, and watching Cricket matches.

Awards & Recognition

Sunrise Rotary Award for Volunteer of the Year; developed a program at Rosewood Elementary to introduce children to different career opportunities; 2017 Patient Experience Top Performer Award: National Children’s Providers of Year Award – 2017; 99th percentile (top 1%) in patient experience for the entire year of 2017.
